Floor 5 · A military commander
General Kithrax, the First Soulcrusher, marks a severe tonal change. Earlier bosses may deceive, provoke, perform, or experiment. Kithrax intends to kill the Aspirants. He is direct, disciplined, and overwhelming; he does not need elaborate games or prolonged personal interaction to establish his threat. There is no expectation that he will sacrifice an opportunity to kill for entertainment.
Children of the Grave
Children of the Grave is an aura that makes death against Kithrax particularly dangerous. A person killed by him can be forced into Ghost Form and enslaved to the General. Their will is no longer their own, and Kithrax can command the resulting Ghost to attack former allies.
Casualties become reinforcements
A fallen party member is not merely removed from battle: Kithrax can turn that casualty into a soldier. One death may weaken the Aspirants while strengthening the General, potentially allowing one casualty to contribute to another.
Identity & objective
As the First Soulcrusher, Kithrax’s objective is to crush the Aspirants’ souls. His threat is directed at the Aspirants who face him in the Trial. His musical identity is martial heavy metal, distinct from the distorted energy-centered sound of Xal’Zhir above him.
Development status
Floor 5 canonically exists. Kithrax’s fundamental identity and Children of the Grave are established, but his complete encounter and moveset remain under development. No additional attacks or mechanics are established by this entry.
