Floor 4 · The laboratory

Professor Putriac is an intelligent, arrogant, theatrical preserved-undead scientist, enthusiastic about experimentation. To him, Aspirants are test subjects rather than merely opponents. His laboratory is part of the encounter: the Professor is dangerous, but so is everything he has placed around you.

Appearance & mechanical arms

Putriac retains substantial preserved tissue; he is not a bare skeleton. He has corpse-pale or grayish skin, sunken and necrotic features, black hair, a prominent jaw, laboratory goggles, and a stained scientist’s coat. Four large articulated mechanical arms are mounted behind him. These functional combat limbs manipulate apparatus, seize targets, operate tools, and contribute directly to his attacks.

Eight containment vessels

Eight enormous vessels surround the laboratory: Red — Kuva Gas Orange — Icecrown Plague Gas Blue — Kyrosian Cryogenic Vapor Purple — Terrazine Gas Green — Icecrown Plague Ooze Gold — Concentrated Urinal White — Shadowlands Anima Black — Liquid Death / Finality

Established environmental interactions

Green Ooze is a deadly poisonous substance. Putriac can absorb it to replenish finite resources used by some attacks. Orange Gas is flammable, and accumulated gas becomes particularly dangerous when ignited. Kyrosian Cryogenic Vapor threatens the body through extreme cold. Other substances introduce chemical, psychic, or supernatural complications, but not every interaction among the eight substances is finalized.

Bolting Attack

Bolting Attack uses Putriac’s mechanical systems and green reserves to produce deadly poisonous hitscan fire: once fired, it cannot simply be dodged after the fact. The attack can be interrupted while charging. The established response window is before the shot, not an assumed opportunity to evade a projectile afterward.

Design boundary

Floor 4 belongs to the developed portion of the Trial, but the complete interaction set for its eight substances remains unfinished. Substance names and vessel colors do not establish additional effects or combinations. Environmental awareness is central to surviving the encounter. This does not make Putriac a benevolent instructor: he regards Aspirants as experimental subjects.
