Jikhan, the Forgotten Jester, is a masked assassin, shapeshifter, and clown. His encounter is built around deception, poison, psychological manipulation, and deliberate provocation. He is simultaneously ridiculous and extremely dangerous; his obnoxious behavior is another weapon.

Kyros Limina & the accusation

Jikhan originates from Kyros Limina, a secluded Kyrosian culture preserving strong medieval Korean and Joseon influences. He served its ruler, the Liminal Emperor, as the Liminal Jester: an entertainer capable of irritating those around him, including the Emperor. Jikhan claims he was falsely accused of poisoning the Emperor and was exiled for the crime. He maintains that someone else was responsible; the true culprit remains unknown.

Exile & unresolved history

The Liminal Emperor eventually passed away for the final time. The endangered Limina civilization was later hidden from discovery by Queen Dowager. Jikhan remains a displaced remnant of that culture, behaving like the clown Limina both loved and hated while searching for purpose and attempting to atone for a crime he insists he never committed.

Appearance

Jikhan wears a weathered wooden smiling mask, a very broad Korean-inspired hat decorated with hanging bells and tassels, and heavily layered deep-blue clothing derived from his Limina heritage. The mask’s smile remains fixed regardless of his actual disposition.

Deceive & decoys

Deceive allows rapid repositioning through temporary invisibility and a burst of speed. Jikhan also creates visually identical decoys. These copies cannot speak and may explode into dangerous daggers.

Two-Shiv Poison · Sayak

Two-Shiv Poison uses a deadly poison known as Sayak. Mechanically, Sayak deals poison damage over time. It may be cured, healed through, or survived until it expires.

The glowing red eye

A glowing red eye identifies a real Jikhan and is one of the few ways to distinguish him from his copies. If the glow suddenly disappears, Deceive may be underway. Relying blindly on any single tell against a professional deceiver remains dangerous.

Provocation & judgment

Signs, insults, jokes, humiliation, fake-outs, and deliberately irritating behavior provoke Aspirants into poor decisions. An Aspirant with enormous destructive power can still lose because Jikhan persuaded them to use that power at exactly the wrong moment.

Music, heritage & arena

Jikhan’s musical identity is mournful rather than comedic, emphasizing Korean/Joseon instrumentation—particularly flute—against the cold industrial atmosphere of Kyros. His tragic history contrasts with his relentlessly irritating behavior. Kyros Limina has a purple visual identity, but the Floor 3 arena is not Limina: it remains part of TotV and retains the Trial’s dominant blue Kyrosian architecture.
